Street Kids Need to Be Empowered
Denver, Colorado (US) street teens are often caught in the cycle of sex-trafficking. To empower them and help get them on a better track World Voice International – WVI is providing media training to help them become “Citizen Journalists.”
Participation in training to become humanitarian Citizen Journalists helps street kids raise self-esteem and become engaged in helping the world.
WVI is working with Women News Network – WNN journalists and media instructors to train street kids in photo-journalism and text-journalism. Using new media for text blogging, podcasting and vlogging can empower these youth to tell THEIR STORY.
